Consumer Directed Services
Consumer Directed Services empower individuals to take an active role in their own care by managing the services and supports they receive. Through CDS, eligible participants can hire, train, and supervise their own personal care attendants (PCAs), providing greater flexibility, choice, and control over their daily care needs.

This model is designed to promote independence and ensure that care is tailored to each individual’s preferences, routines, and goals. Participants work with a Fiscal Employer Agent (FEA) to handle payroll, taxes, and administrative tasks, ensuring compliance with Medicaid requirements while maintaining focus on the care and support they need.
